Bone Awl

A bone awl, carved from animal bones, found at the Tell al-Mafjar site in Jericho. It has a hole near the top, possibly for suspension using a cord made from animal hide in the form of thread. This tool was used for perforating leather, which humans used in their daily lives and clothing or for making leatherware.
