Mamluk Glass Lamp

It has a pear-shaped form with a flat base. The surface is adorned with geometric patterns, consisting of straight lines, circles, and the jokandar (polo stick), representing the sport of polo, which was popular during the Mamluk period. This lamp is made using a mold, with clay poured into a two-part mold. After drying, the two pieces are attached and fired in a kiln.
