Stone Axe
A hand-made stone axe, made from flintstone material, is a primary tool from the Stone Age. It is approximately the size of a handgrip and has a triangular shape. It was discovered during an archaeological survey in Umm Qotfah Cave in the Wadi Khreitoun, about 10 km southeast of Bethlehem. This tool was used for various purposes, such as breaking bones and cutting and trimming branches. Its history dates back to the ancient Middle Stone Age, which marked the first evidence of using fire within the cave living environments in the Middle East.
