Byzantine Gold Solidus

A Byzantine gold solidus, a Latin word meaning a coin, made of pure gold weighing 4.5 grams. The obverse side features a depiction of Heraclius, Heraclius Constantine, and Heraclonas standing, holding crosses on a globe, representing the world. On the reverse side, there's a large cross supported by three steps, with the letter "A" to its right, symbolizing the mint, surrounded by Latin inscriptions. Below the cross's steps is an emblem of the mint.
