Amphora Jar

An earthenware jar, known by its Greek name "Amphora," crafted on a potter's wheel, was found in the northern village of Asira, north of Nablus. It has a sleek design with a pointed base and two ring handles where the vessel's shoulders meet the neck of the jar. These jars were used to store liquids such as water and oil.
